Deep vein Thrombosis (DVT) is a physical condition which can affect anybody of any age and could result in complications that may prove fatal. Certain situations such as long-distance aircraft, coach or train travel can put an individual particularly at risk.

During long-haul flights legs are inclined to become swollen due to low cabin pressure and remaining in one position for long periods of time. Flight socks provide additional support to the veins from the ankle through to the calf, aiding blood circulation and helping to reduce any increase in excess fluid.
